Baby Cribs - Did you love yours?

After four kids I have a dream I never got to fulfill and you'll probably be amazed at what it is. None of my children ever had a real nursery. In fact after my first son I never seen the need for a crib since he never used his, and I had three more who followed suit.

Still, I can't help but want to pull together that nursery look. I often find myself looking at nursery photos and baby cribs. When it come to cribs I like a traditional look, nothing too fancy and I have to have a dark wood. The Davinci Kalani in a cherry wood comes to mind when I imagine my Nursery.

Another thing I want is a convertible crib. The 4 in 1 convertible cribs easily conform to a toddler or day bed when the time comes. In most cases your paying a decent amount for a crib so why not get the most out of it. And while we are talking about getting the most out of it - How about the fact that the the foot board and headboards can also be used to form a fullsize bed. I want to kick myself because the first crib we had received for my now oldest son was a convertible and I never utilized any of the extra features.

I would also love a simple cherry changing table and dresses to match. And depending on the sex of the child either a pale yellow or baby blue paint with coordinating trim. I also found this nursery rug a few weeks ago that I simply adore. It's kind of silly because it's nothing fancy or overly cute - but I told you I really do envision this nursery whenever I come across a cute nursery themed products. I would love to do a baby giraffe theme, something a little more neutral and simple then what my other kids had.

Were you able to have the nursery of your dreams? What was your theme? Come on let me live through you, please!

With my husband going to grad school and me being a stay at home wife I really didn't get to dream nursery :( I got to pick out the crib but I the bedding wasn't my style. For the next babes I'll have it more my way.

I never had a real nursery for my kids either. I would love to go all out for the next one and have a super cute nursery.

We had a semi dream nursery and splurged on a fancy crib. Had a mellow theme of greens and browns. Cute wall decor and bedding.
We ended up keeping the crib in our room thus hardly used the "nursery" then she ended up sleeping with us most of the time and at nap time slept on a mat downstairs since she refused to be in the crib. Hardly ever in the nursery.
