Summer Blogoversary~Hearth Song Super Water Slide Review and GiveawayCLOSED

I remember very clearly my first water slide. I also remember always being slightly afraid of it, afraid of bouncing myself off the hard ground. When I came across HearthSongs Super Water Slide, I knew it looked not only fun, but big enough for all my kids and padded enough to possibly finally give me the courage to run and slide!

I was truly impressed with the size out of the box, but was a little worried about inflating it. Hearthsong provided a foot pump and I went to work blowing her up, after a few minutes I knew this wasn't going well for me. I went in the house, to find that my husband has lost the electric pump, Ugg. What else was Mommy to do but try to blow it up by mouth. After about 5 minutes my husband came out with some other kind of pump and finished the job. I would highly recommend a electric pump for this slide.
 

 
The feature that really drew me to this slide beside the size, was the inner inflated water slide. Instead of just a sheet of "plastic" the slide inflated making as a cushion when your stomach hits the slide. I never understood how anyone slide down a traditional water slide OUCH.. Also the pool at the end was great size, and once the slide was wet you could actually slide. You didn't end up stuck half way through. My oldest son even slide his way from the start of the slide, to the pool and over the side ending with a face full of mud. He was OK, so to be honest it was pretty funny!
 

After an hour of watching my kids, I decided it was time for me to take a shot at it. I did a few hesitant runs, before my kids convinced me to "just do it, Mom" and so I did. WOW, I had so much fun and started jumping in front of my kids to get my turn!
 

After almost 3 hours outside I was beat, but my kids were terribly upset it was time to go in. I haven't seen them have that much fun together in a while. I guess it wouldn't be right to end this post without giving you a fair warning..Padding on slide, GREAT! Did it hurt going down? No! Did I find out why it was recommended for ages 4-15 and not 4-29? Yes! OUCH..My age kicked in the next morning, in the form of a bruised rib! My kids were fine, but I found out my aging body can't hang like it used too. Don't think I won't or haven't went back on it, now I just know my limits.
