Maukilo Automobloxs Review

I'm sure you can imagine in a house with four children, we have seen many toys come and go. Though I have come across a few quality brands, the toys that stick around seem to be those made of wood. Wood can with stand years of play and being passed down from child to child. So you can imagine my excitement when I was contact by Maukilo.

Maukilo is owned by HABA and committed to providing high quality toys that can be handed down from child to child, a toy that can be played with forever! And that is exactly what I look for in a toy. I also love that most of their toys are constructed from wood, making them durable, nice looking and able to spark the imagination.

We were offered the chance to review an Automoblox Sedan. This was actually our first experience will Automoblox and I'm sure it will not be our last.

"Automoblox allows children to experience beneficial play with activities that provide limitless joy, imagination, and creativity. Automoblox is offering a high-quality building system that will delight and inspire children while fostering the development of important skills and learning foundations. Body: Solid German beech wood with lacquer finish Roof: translucent polycarbonate plastic Wheels: polycarbonate plastic Tires: TPR rubber Figures: ABS plastic Connectors: ABS/polycarbonate plastic"

Again I am sure you can imagine with three boys, we have cars everywhere most are your typical small matchbox type, good for racing, bad for stepping on...Then we have your bigger versions which typically last maybe a month before wheels have popped off, pieces have been broken off, and eventually they find there way into Mommy's handy trash can!

Automoblox have got to be, not only the most durable cars I have come across, but they also feature so much more. Automoblox are beautifully crafted beech wood cars that you can take a part, re-build, and swap pieces with.

The car body separates into four sections, the wheels are removable, and when you remove the roof you uncover four passenger's!

I noticed right away that each "passenger" has a different shape as a bottom. To put the passenger back into the car, you have to match the shape on the bottom of the peg, to the matching section of the car, making your child think a bit. It was the little things put into the car that I found the most interesting, like the two male passenger's and two female passengers.

Let's face it though, it doesn't really manner how cool Mom thinks something is if the kids won't touch it. This is not the case with Automoblox. In fact it's the first toy in awhile that could tare my son from his video game. I let him "discover" the car on his own...He loved the look, but you should have seen his face when he realized it came apart! He loves to construct stuff, so this was a perfect match for him.

What surprised me the most was that my daughter really liked it. Although she was more concerned with placing the "passengers" in and taking them out.

I have to be honest and say we had a few arguments about whose car it was. For me this meant it was a toy they really enjoyed. Yes, I now judge the appeal of a toy on how much my kids fight over it ;-)

Buy It: Maukilo has many Automoblox to choose from, or collect them all and let your child build the ultimate car. Purchase the blue S9 Sedan for $39.99 Or hurry over to Maukilo.com and check out their huge spring sale with up to 80% off select toys. I think these look a bit strange...they remind me of the cars in the Life board game.

I actually really like these p The fact that the body is made out of wood means it will last a long time - seems like all my kids toys that were made out of wood are the ones we kept the longest!

I love wooden toys, can't wait until my son is a little older and appreciate cars like this.

I love Automoblox! My son has one of their little ones. The only problem is, is that my toddler likes to take the wheels off and put them in his mouth. Maukilo.com has some great stuff. I'm impressed with all the high quality toys they carry.

These are definitely different from other cars I have seen. The price is a bit steep for me and the people look a little odd. But other than that it looks like some nice wheels! :)

I like how the child has to match the shape to the opening in the car to put the people in!
