When we moved to Florida, It was a quick learned lesson that most all the schools are semi uniformed, meaning logo less Polo's only and plain jeans or khaki's. Supposedly this is done for a variety of reasons including to make it cost less for the parents, I however disagree. With three children soon to be four it cost me just as much or more to keep them clothed for the school year. The reason being all the clothes they get on birthdays and holidays are not suitable for school now, and the good deals I find year round also are 99% of the time not suitable. I've also found with Polo's they are usually really cheap, but last only a month or two with my boys, or are way over priced for a simple collared shirt.
I was excited to get the opportunity to check out French Toast : America's Most Trusted Brand of school uniforms, providing quality official school wear to our nation's schools for the past 15 years!
I was happy with their prices and selection, so I was really interested in seeing the quality. We received 3 solid polo's and one navy stripped polo from the boys school uniform collection.
The Unisex Short Sleeve Pique Polo is a heavy weight polo with 3 button placket (left over right) allows your child to look good and feel great. Drop tail hem.
I was impressed with the weight to the fabric as well as how soft the fabric was, my only concern was the heaviness of the fabric. I was thinking in our Florida heat they may make my boys a little warm. They arrived home comfortable and says they had no issue with being to hot that the shirts were really comfortable. This made me happy because I could see this heavier weight fabric taking a lot more wear then the of the Polo's I normally purchase.
The boys Short Sleeve Pique Polo with Navy Trim was made of the same heavy weight Cotton/polyester blend and features a navy stripe on the collar and a single stripe along the ribbed sleeves.
This one was my favorite, since my boys are allowed to have stripes I tend to favor polo's with added stripes or something that stands out to me from the average plain polo.
French Toast also feature custom uniforms. If your school requires logos on the shirts and is registered with French Toast they can easily customize your order to include your child's school logo.
* Please note the above picture was shot at 5am with less then happy children who were not yet tucked, belted and officially ready to be sent out the door*
