Dirt Devil Total Vision Review

Once in awhile I get a brand Ambassadorship that really means a lot to me. There is nothing better as a Blogger, Mother and Women then being able to support and partner with a company I truly believe in like Dirt Devil.

As a Mom of four, and a single income family it is important to me to find quality products, that do their job, yet don't break the bank. That's not always an easy task and I will not sacrifice quality for price. Cheaper may be better on the pocket book, but it's not better when you have to by the same product over and over because that cheaper version keeps breaking. Why not pay the money once and have a product that last.... Why not? Well because you don't always have the money for that product that last. I always strive to find quality with a great price tag and that is what Dirt Devil is. Dirt Devil is a brand with a family friendly budget as well as being a quality brand. It's not too often you can pair quality with a low price tag, Dirt Devil does it with ease.

I was sent the Dirt Devil Total Vision Vacuum for review, just in time for Spring cleaning. Actually it really was just in time this vacuum arrived just days before Easter one of my 3 "big" cleaning weeks of the year. It also arrived with some great tips helping me, clean up easier this spring.

Out With The Old, In With The New – Spring is a great time to toss out old toiletries. Toothbrushes need replacing every three months and bath sponges and loofahs should be replaced every 30 days. Check your cabinets for expired medicines and restock as needed.

Bring The Spring Indoors – To help cut cleanup time as spring arrives, use placemats that can be wiped down instead of a cloth table covering that requires laundering. Also, if your kitchen table is clean, it will be less likely to be a landing pad for mail and other clutter. As a finishing touch, place a bowl of seasonal fruit or a vase of fresh flowers on the table.

Clean Top to Bottom – When cleaning, start from the highest point in a room and move down, so any dust stirred up can be vacuumed at the end. Vertical surfaces like walls can collect dust, too, especially if they’re textured.

De-Funk Your Fabrics – Use spring time as a reminder to wash mattress pads, pillow coverings and pillows from your bed and remember to flip and rotate your mattress. Take this time to vacuum the box spring with a new Total Vision™ by Dirt Devil® that has onboard tools and a hose for a quick convenient fix to household tasks.

Revamp Your Vac – Spring cleaning is the perfect time to check belts and filters on your vacuum. This is the best way to insure efficient performance and machine life. It’s a good idea to always have a spare belt and filter on hand. Spring is also a good time to stock up on bags (if you have a bagged model)!

Take it Outside – Indoor surfaces aren’t the only ones that need to be refreshed. Before setting up your patio or deck for warmer weather, get it clean with the new PressureFlex™ 2-in-1 from Dirt Devil. It offers dual functionality so while one person is washing the car, mats, and wheel base the other can be sucking up all the wet mess from the mats with the on-board wet/dry vac.

Wardrobe Update – Clean all winter outfits and place in air tight plastic containers to avoid mothballs. Do not hang sweaters or clothes on hangers for an extended period of time or they could lose shape. Store clothes in a clean, cool, dark and dry space.

Family Fun – Have everyone in your family clean out their closet and rooms, then host a family garage sale. Allow your kids to keep the money from their stuff to encourage them to get rid of clothes and toys they don’t use anymore.

Speedy Spring Cleaning – To avoid spending too much time cleaning on the weekends, make sure you are picking up messes on the fly. Check out the new Dirt Devil Power Air™ Cyclonic Stick Vac that is a sleek, lightweight, yet powerful cleaner perfect for quick pickups on hard floors. Or may I recommend the Dirt Devil 2in1 stick Vac the little vac that packs a punch! You can check out my review here!

Lets Try Out That Vacuum!

With my new vacuum and my Spring cleaning tips in order I was off, but first I had to assemble my Dirt Devil Total Vision. Upon emptying the box, I would be lying if I didn't say I was intimidated at first glance, but the Total Vision went together in minutes requiring just a screwdriver and three screws.

My "big" vacuum has been on the outs for awhile now, so I was excited to see how the Dirt Devil Total Vision would workout for me.

The Dirt Devil Total Vision Features:
~Cyclonic Filtration – high-suction sustained throughout high-level filtration

~Premium Stretch Hose – provides 120 inches of reach for stairway cleaning
~10 Amps – powerful clean and hearty motor for a thorough clean
~Bagless Convenience – no more changing dirty bags
~On Board Tools – comes with all the right onboard tools, including an Extension Wand, ~Dusting Brush, Crevice Tool and Turbo Tool
~5-Position Height Adjustment – allows you to extend the nozzle to clean a variety of surface with one simple movement
~Rinsable HEPA Filter – keeps a consistently clean ventilation system with an easy-to-clean filter that won’t need to be replaced
~15-Inch Nozzle – cleans a wide path with one movement.
~Performance Indicator – indicates maintenance, including emptying the dirt cup or changing the filter, is needed

~Sleek Design – featuring Dirt Devil’s signature red, this vacuum provides streamlined storage and easy cleaning for a variety of surfaces and areas of the home.

With four kids, two dogs and oh yeah, a husband running around, I need a powerful vacuum able to keep up with my demanding family. Upon first use I was impressed with the power and the turbo tool attachment that worked wonders for cleaning the pet hair off my couches. I have to laugh because I use to try and pick my old vacuum up and actually vacuum the couch to remove the hair. Needless to say that never worked out quite as I would envisioned.

The Easy empty feature made for simple emptying with out as much mess, I love not having to get my hands dirty. I had actually vacuumed an hour or so before the Dirt Devil Total vision arrived and well you can see for yourself how much my previous vacuum left on the floors.

I said how much I appreciate and truly am proud to represent a brand that provides a quality choice for family such as mine, but I also love the convenience of Dirt Devil. They most have Moms on staff to help them design their vacuums, because just like my Dirt Devil 2-in-1 Stick vacuum, the Dirt Devil Total Vision seems to have been designed with Mom's convenience in mind.

With a easy connect hose, for fast corner and stair way cleaning, easy empty dirt cup, mattress and upholstery cleaning capabilities, indicator light, wide edge to edge cleaning path, 5 height settings to quickly move from floor to floor, and a hose clean out, so I don't have to take the entire vacuum apart to remove that sock dirt. What else could I ask for?

Again Dirt Devil knocks it out the park for this Mom, with affordability and convenience, because anyone who knows me knows I want nothing more then an easy cleanup, with more time to "play".

Sounds silly but I would be so excited to get a new vacuum! Nothing like a brand new vacuum & one that allows you to see all the dirt it's sucking up.

I definitely would use this in my house. We just recently placed new carpet in my daughter's room, so this would really do the job. Thanks for sharing. Great review.

We've owned Dirt Devil in the past and they are pretty good for the cost. This new one looks like it has been improved upon. With 3 cats... you better believe we need a good vacuum to get the hair off furniture, carpets, and curtains!
