2PBB- Schleich Wildlife Animal Families Review and Giveaway CLOSED

My middle son has, for as long as I can remember always enjoyed playing with dinosaurs and animal figures. We used to buy him sets for birthdays and Holidays and allow him to pick one from the buckets at Target each time we would shop there. I didn't know much about these animal figures until I had the wonderful opportunity to review for Schleich figurine.


For those who are unsure what Shleich Figurines are exactly let me tell you a bit more. Schelich Figures are perfect for inspiring imaginative play, Schleich’s figurines are hand-painted, stunningly realistic and designed to stand the test of time. Schelich offers a wide product range from animals you would find on a Farm or in the wild, to fantasy knights and dragons but that is far from all. Schleich collections spark young imaginations as children identify with “animal babies” and play with the family groupings.

Scheich has some exciting new animals coming to the mix for 2011 and I got the chance to review a few. I received a few different animals including:a Water Buffalo Calf ,Water Buffalo, Kudu Antelope, Kudu Calf, Artic Fox and Artic Fox Kit.

We were also sent a coffee-table book about the history of Schleich titled  Anywhere’s a Playground: Schleich 75^th Anniversary, by Paul Kraut. My son actually read a good portion of this book, I was very surprised.

We have purchased many brands of animals and dinosaurs over the years but I have to say none have been as realistic or of the quality of Schleich. The only thing I regret is not knowing the brand sooner. We have purchased Schleich Figures from Target quite a few times but I never took the time to notice who they were made by. Those purchases are why I can say with full confidence these animals really can stand the test of time. Each one of them is still standing in a storage bucket under my sons bed.

Buy It: Each Schleich figurine is painstakingly designed in Germany and is available at Target, Toys R Us and independent toy stores across the country.
