Wilton has been around for 80 years. Leading the industry in producing quality baking goods. Such as bake ware, decorating needs, and food crafting sets.
I used to be REALLY good at creative stuff like cake decorating before I had children ( I know odd right) With all the hustle of everyday life, I started to find convenience in little things like pre-made cakes etc. Well since I found Wilton I have been really trying to get back that creative spirit, and have so much fun with the kids doing so. This year was the first year in over 5 years I went with a home made cake for their birthdays, and it was all thanks to Wilton. First for an amazing Birthday package but second for the inspiration their products bring me.
So for the boys birthday we went with a Pirate theme. I was sent some amazing Wilton products to help make this party a reality. Wilton provided us with all the necessities including:
A 24ct Pirate cupcake combo pack
2 Large Pirate Lollipop molds
2 Pirate candy pick molds
1 20ct Pirate Party Bags
1 awesome Pirate Ship cake pan
1 package of colored flame candles
1 package of dark coco candy melts
1 package of white candy melts
1 package of Yellow candy melts
1 Cupcake and more Stand
and 1 large package of 6in lollipop sticks (35ct)
The night before the party we decided to have at it. I went to our local Walmart and picked up any decorating Tips I was missing, and some extra decorating baggies, and I was off. I must admit I probably ate more icing and chocolates then I should have, but isn't that the fun part of baking?
The only issue I ran into was I forgot my blue icing for the sides of the cake and had no one to run out and grab some for me, so I was a little bummed. I pulled it all off though..Lollipops, cake and the kids helped with the cupcake decorating because I was wiped out at that point.
You can always rely on Wilton for any theme or creative backing outlet you are looking to try your hand at. I frequent their site and am always impressed with their wide selection and the endless creative possibilities. I vow to get back to the days when my cakes were something to be admired. Wilton has really help give me a running start always providing valuable direction.
