What is a Bun-Gee-Pup-ee? It's this great invention, a leash made of a bungee cord style material. Basically a restraint system for a dog that would absorb the shock of a pet’s sudden movements. Helping to prevent injury in owners, pets and others as well.
*Now referred to as "The First Step Training Tool" by many dog trainers, Bun-Gee Pup-EE has earned it's name. A company started by listening to the public's wants and needs has made the expandable dog leash what it is today. Many say that the resistance in the leash actually trained their dog not to pull!
Bun-Gee Pup-EE offers leashes in sizes for the smallest of dogs to large breeds weighing up to 165lbs. Bella and I reviewed the "up to 65lbs" version.
"If your dog is strong and not easy to walk with, this is the leash for you! Our most popular leash that is Great for any sudden moves. Twisted to perfection for a fashionable and functional leash that's a sure win with your Favorite Pup Friend!
Dogs up to 65 pounds love BunGee PupEE when they walk on their leash because the pressure is relived from their back, neck, and shoulders. When choosing the right leash for your dog, make sure you select the right size leash for you. If your dog is almost 65 pounds and pulls a lot on your standard dog leash you will need the next size larger or the 165 pound leash"
Bella has always been on the small side for a Boxer. The recommended lead for her was the up to 165lbs but at only 50lbs and almost 3 years old, I decided that the up to 65lb version would probably be the best for us. I was impressed by the leash in a few ways. First it's design, durability, slight tight stretch like a bungee, and the clasp that attaches to her collar is the most secure design I have seen yet. I also like how good the leash felt for me. I was able to loop it over my hand and grasp the top of the leash for a "better" hold on her. There is a material right at the top of the lead that made for a great grip and extra control. I'm not sure if it was made like that for this purpose, but it worked out really well for me. I was able to keep a better handle on her when a cat darted out or she seen something she didn't like. I was able to do this with out being drug around or trying too dig me feet into the ground to try to get the perfect stance as to not hurt my arm/shoulder or her. Oh and did I mention the leash looks great as well!
I've had a ton of leashes for Bella all of which have been chewed, ripped, snap, or basically just warn down. None of which seemed to have been made of the same quality and definitely were unable to resist the her pulling like the Bun-Gee-Pup-EE. The only wish I have is that I would have started her off on this leash. I'm hoping with the help of the Bun-Gee-Pup-EE we can get her back on track and me and her can enjoy nice walks together again.
