Giani Granite Review and Giveaway CLOSED

I'm so excited to share with you my review on Giani Granite counter top paint. I was really nervous at first but am thrilled with my result and am excited to give one of you the opportunity to try this product as well.

So what is Giani Granite?

It's a easy, affordable do it yourself paint on version of granite. Giani Granite is Great for upgrading Formica, laminate, Corian,ceramic tile, butcher block, cultured marble and traditional granite counter tops and vanities.

When we bought our home I loved everything but the kitchen. I hated the cabinets, the counter tops were White Corian, the flooring was just ehh. For a house built in 2006 the kitchen reminded me of a much much older home.
The part the drove my most insane was the white counter tops. Can you imagine 4 kids and white counter tops! I was wiping down the counters at least twenty times a day, no lie. Every time I turned around they looked dirty again! I really, really wanted to replace the counters but it just wasn't in our budget at the moment. When I came across Giani I thought what an awesome product it was. I did a lot of research and read every blog review I could find. I did this because it looked so amazing I figured there had to be a catch, or you had to "know" what you were doing...certainly every ones counter tops couldn't come out as beautiful as those pictured on the Giani website..Could they?

Let me first show you some of my before and afters..Then I'll give you some more of my thoughts

I LOVE Giani!! Everything they said was true. The process was really simple and fun. You start with a black primer coat, let dry for 4 hrs and then sponge on the 3 mineral colors provided. Of course you can chose which color combination suits your kitchen. I went with Chocolate brown.

I was really nervous that I was going to mess something up and be stuck with even worse looking counters so I waited for the hubby. He rolled on the black primer coat with ease and we waited for it to dry... I must add the black primer alone looked pretty nice..lol
He then started the sponge painting process and I finally decided I would give it a shot. It was SO simple! I took over because I was having a lot of fun painting and adding my own little details etc. When the counters were done and all dried we rolled on the top gloss coat, stood back and admired our new counters.

I was so impressed, I love my kitchen counters now. I can't wait to get the floors done because the counter tops have already made such a dramatic difference.
Oh and while I was at it since I was having SO much fun, I decided to do our little kitchen table. It was wood topped and looking a little ratty. It was a cheap set we picked up a few years back so the kids would stay out of my dining room and off the carpet. The Giani paint worked wonders on the table top as well. I had been talking about throwing out the table but it looks so good now I may just buy some new chairs and keep the table!

Each box of Giani Granite comes included with enough paint to Cover 35 square feet or 16 running feet of standard 24" wide counters. It is a Quick, fun and easy 'paint-by-number' process for beginning painters. Giani is great for covering burns and scratches..it hid every flaw in my counter top and is available in classic color schemes.

It took us 1 and a half boxes to do our kitchen.  I probably could have got away with just one, but I went heavy on the sponging because I was having a lot of fun.
