Activisions DJ Hero 2 And Guitar Hero Review

As a gaming family we are huge fans of AcTiVision Products like Guitar Hero and DJ Hero. These products arrived at my door set on Christmas Eve so I took it as a sign a put them under the tree. The boys freak when they opened them and as soon as we had the chance we had them set up and were ready to go!

We started with DJ Hero 2 because I had always wanted it. We have a few different versions of Guitar Hero ( another fav of mine) but this was our first experience with a DJ Hero set. My kids were a little mad because I wouldn't give it up..I loved it.

The Turn Table was of  optimal size and I like the fact it had a hidden "controller" making navigation easier.

With five different modes from beginner to expert even the youngest DJ's can be a star. DJ Hero allows "DJ's" Old and young to mix tracks, crossfade between tracks, and scratch that beat!

Following along with the "notes" and instructions on the game screen you'll be mixing your own beats in no time, and with an amazing soundtrack of 83 tracks you may just be singing along like I was ;). I loved that they also do have a vocal feature, for singing along. I thought that was a great added feature.
You can also purchase a ton of additional downloadable content.

Play in quick mode or start your own DJ Career and Travel the country, visit different venues, and become a master DJ.

Buy It: DJ Hero 2 is rated T for teen and available for PS3, XBox 360 and Wii for about 99.99 included with turn table and game. *Requires 4 D Batteries
Available at most major retailers.

Next was Guitar Hero's Warriors Of Rock!
Another hit with an amazing sound track of over 90 Rock Songs. Offering choices from "old School" rock to today's rock hits. With artist like Fall Out Boy, Metallica, R.E.M, The Off Spring, Slipknot, Ozzy, The Cure...There is a little something for everyone and your able to expand your set list by importing your set list from your previous Guitar Hero games and by downloading additional content.

There was something different about this guitar that I liked in comparison to some other versions I have. Instead of the wireless device that "hangs" from you PS3 there was a small USB chip in a inside compartment of the guitar. Simply insert this USB device into the PS3 for play and place it back "inside" the guitar when your through. I loved this! My kids are always losing the other wireless connection devices and this one has it's own storage in the guitar!

Again you can choose quick play or start your own band and tour across countries and become the top guitarist. Or jump online and play with friends or battle against some of the best online players.

Guitar Hero works sort of the same as DJ Hero you follow along with the game screen hitting the notes as they appear while strumming the middle "cord".
*Game is compatible with other guitar hero guitars

Buy It: Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock is Rated T for Teen and requires 2 AA batteries, which are included if I remember correct. Play available for 1 to 4 players. Box includes guitar and game for about $99.99 at most major retailers.
Available for PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii platforms.

How fun! One of our relatives has Guitar Hero, and we played it with them the last time we visited. It is sooo much fun! I need to get out of the dark ages and upgrade my SNES. :D
