Welcome to Santa's Hot list kick off! I have for you today an great gift for children designed for children ages 1-5, The Strider Pre-Bike.

I'm so disappointed I never got the chance to start my boys off on a PREbike. Do you know my ten year old just finally mastered riding a two wheeler this year! My other two sons are still with training wheels, yet my 3 year old daughter is on her way to mastering a two wheeler thanks to Strider PREbikes.

Some of you, like myself might think the idea of no pedals in strange, but like I just mentioned the hardest part of riding a bike is learning to balance. Now combine learning to balance with quickly getting your feet on the pedals to start pedaling, and that usually results in a crash, which promotes fear. With Strider their feet can be firmly planted on the ground. As they start off "walking" with the bike and as confidants grows they push off, place their feet on the footrest and go... I was so excited to get Gianna ready to ride when the bike arrived. My husband put the bike together in not even ten minutes. I new Gianna would do great because she doesn't have that natural fear my boys had at her age. I'm not sure if that is a good or bad thing. It took her a couple of days to grasp the concept of putting her feet up but I'd say after week one she was good to go.
I thought being that the PREbike was so light weight and wasn't set up with typical pedals that this would only be good for use in the road or driveway. I didn't think she would be able to drive around the yard with her brothers. Little did I realize Strider PREbikes tires are puncture resistant and great for
off-road adventures including hiking and MTB trails, BMX tracks, and dirt jump parks. Which is actually something they can't do or mobility is restricted when doing with a trike or 2 wheeler w/ training wheels.

For older children (4+ years old), we offer an optional 305mm length seatpost with a pre-mounted saddle. This seatpost extends the saddle height another 3" to a maximum of 19" from the ground. Which is great for my youngest son however he will only give it a shot in the garage because it is Pink...Guess I should have thought about that. But as a Mom of a few kids I know how important it is for products to grow with your children so the fact that Strider also offers this seat is a plus in my book as well.
