It uses UV-C light technology which is proven and recognized by the FDA, EPA and USDA as an effective means of eliminating biological contaminants. Have you ever looked at pictures of dust Mites? EWW, I can imagine laying down in bed ever being the same. Well at least before the CleanWave...
The CleanWave uses 400 Watts of power to create superior and consistent suction. It features bagless design and a build in safety feature. The UV-C light will only function with the vacuum in a down facing position with three sensors being fully covered. There are six "button shaped" holes on top of the vac the illuminate blue so you know when the light is on. Another great feature is that it is also equipped with a detachable hand vacuum for quick cleanups and hard to reach places.
So you have the Pros: Light weight, detachable hand vac, bagless, and most important to me UV-C lighting killing 99.9% of germs, Bactria, flea eggs, and dust mites.
Cons: The only thing that can be a pain is the safety sensor feature. I found if the vacuum wasn't firmly pressed down, which is sometimes hard to do on soft surfaces. The light didn't always function and I had to apply pressure.
But It: You can purchase the Cleanwave UV-C Sanitizing Furniture and Bed vac at verilux.com for 125.95. A much more reasonable price then similar products, while still providing the same results.
