After having four kids I like to consider myself a pregnancy pro, but it really is true that each pregnancy is different and support is always needed.
Ten years ago when I had my first son I didn't have internet access, by the time my second came along I was still learning the Internet ropes so to say. With my third during my 8th month I found my very first birth board and was addicted but joining so late felt slightly out of place. When I got pregnant with my daughter the first thing I did after I found out I was pregnant was look up and join all kinds of pregnancy web sites and along the way met a amazing bunch a women which whom have been an active part of my life for the past 4 years. I would have never expected to form such a bond over the Internet through pregnancy but I have. We are no longer online friends but each and every one of us are now family. We are also still active on our board and outside of it, four years later.
Any how my point is that I love supportive and informative pregnancy/baby sites and guarantee with the access to them during pregnancy at some point they will provide you with great insight, whether your on your first child or your fifth.
I got to the chance thanks to My Blog Spark to check out BabyCenter a great site that offers moms trusted advice from hundreds of experts around the globe, medical advisory board-approved information, friendship with other moms, and support at every stage of your child´s development. On my first visit I found your typical help is this normal posts, the joys of motherhood posts, and the real life hard questions of Mothers and soon to be Moms seeking support and guidance. I was really touched by the openness and compassion of others on a "should I keep my baby" post. I was really expecting to find a lot of rude remarks when I opened the post, and what I found was mostly genuine support.
What is really cool is BabyCenter's online childbirth classes! The BabyCenter Class is a convenient, at-home option for moms who can´t attend hospital childbirth classes due to hectic work schedules or being put on bed rest. And the price is right, too! For only $39.99, the all-new 2-hour instructional course lets you hear from doctors, ask your questions, and build confidence for your big day. Preparing for Labor and Birth includes: An explanation of the signs and stages of labor; What to expect during labor; Labor and birth stories from new moms; An overview of your pain-management options; A tour of a delivery room; Suggestions for creating your birth plan; A checklist to help you prepare for the big day and more.
Would you believe after four kids, I never made it to a birth class due to schedule conflicts. I really wish this had been available to me when I had my first. Thanks to BabyCenter and My Blog Spark I was given the chance to check out these classes with a free certificate. Also included in the prize pack was 2 books; BabyCenter Pregnancy and BabyCenter- Baby. I really liked these and was ex specially impressed with the Pregnancy book.
I have a book I lived by and bought a new copy of with each pregnancy because it was just so informative and helpful through out my pregnancies. I couldn't find another book that came close. Now trust me, I almost know that book word for word and the BabyCenter Pregnancy book features all the same informative and helpful information with a more modern touch. I was really impressed with the pictures of the babies in womb for different stages instead of the typical black and white illustrations.
I urge you if your a Mother in need of support of advice and ex specially if your expecting a child to head on over and check out BabyCenter.
