The first book in the series, we get to know a little more about our main characters. Each book also teaches a life lesson of sorts with this books being, that achieving anything of value requires you to work hard and put forth the effort. You will never gain something for nothing. Good thing we have a wise Flea T around to help teach these valuable lessons. With each story told in Rhymes they are sure to engage your child.
Story two in the series teaches Will That you get back what you give. A lesson in Karma so to say. This Moral is easily taught with the help of Flea and a trusty Boomerang that of course comes right back at you.
Book 3- The Bad Enchilada (probably my favorite due to title, lesson relationship) deals with learning to let go of anger and perceived slights. "T" the Flea and his Mexican nephew “CC” help Wil understand that holding on to bad feelings and anger will result in his own form of “indigestion.”
This books were great for my boys. My 8 and 10 year old had no troubles reading on their own. It was a lot tougher for my 6 year old, but he loved having them read to him. These books were a welcome addition to the book shelf with their valuable lessons and fun rhythmic reading style. If you are interested in these then definitely also check out book four "A Line in the Sand. With a fifth installment "The Lemonade Stand" due out in 2011.
