Kimochis Review~ How children can express themselves

Sometimes the hardest lesson a child can learn is about their feeling and how to express them. As hard as it is for them it is often just as hard as a parent to teach them.
Kimochis™ are a great learning tool and fun toy to help teach your child the expression and understanding of feelings.

Kimochi is the Japanese word for "feelings" and that is exactly what the company is about. Their goal is to help parents and educators teach children to get in better touch with their own emotions in a fun a comfortable way.
Kimochis™ themselves are adorable plush animals with "feelings". Each Kimochi comes with three plush pillows with a feeling ( Happy, Sad, Angry..etc) printed on one side and the facial expression on the opposite side. Using their Kimochi™ or their feelings kids can get in touch with their emotions in a fun way. A Feelings pillow can be placed in the Kimochis™ tummy pouch to express how a child is feeling at the moment. Kimochi Cat also comes equipped with 5 plush bandages to help cure hurt feelings.
The accompanying Feel Guide introduces the fun and quirky personalities of each character that every child can identify with.

KIMOCHI BUG is a caterpillar who is afraid of change. He is thoughtful, cautious, really smart and a skilled conversationalist. He is known to talk himself out of any situation.

KIMOCHI CLOUD is a bit moody and unpredictable. He can be happy or sad just by turning his head. Cloud can be sometimes hard to get along with but works very hard at trying to change.

KIMOCHI HUGGTOPUS is all smiles and giggles! Sometimes though her big friendly personality gets alittle unbearable. You can always count on her to put a smile on your face if your feeling down.

KIMOCHI LOVEY DOVEY is sweet, loving, and always there to smooth out a bumpy situation. If Kimochis had a Mom it would be her.

KIMOCHI CAT is the only Kimochi that knows what she wants, when she wants it and why. Cat is a great leader but can tend to be a bit bossy. Which can lead to Cat  fights which is why there are plenty of bandaids to be had, and do overs to be made.

We received Kimochis™ Cat and at only 2 years old my daughter is already making an "emotional" connection to her new friend. It's also helped in a few situations with my boys.
Kimochis are perfect for younger children to learn to identify their feelings. Older children can use the Kimochi to work through communication challenges, and learn to express and navigate their feelings positively through puppetry and play. Kimochis are a fun toy and great tool for families and caregivers alike.
