Happy Blankie Review ~ One To Love, One To Give

My daughter has since birth always been a BIG blanket fan. She has never had that one blanket in particular she couldn't live without. However she does have to always have a blanket of some sort with her, and it HAS to be soft. While browsing around the web one night I came across Happy Blankie. They had a assortment of animal shaped blankets for kids that upon request could also be personalized. Upon searching their site so more I came across the #1 reason I became really interested in these blankets, besides the fact that they were adorable.
For every Happy Blankie purchase you get to donate one, "One to love, One to Give".. When you receive your blankie you will be able to follow the instructions on the "giving is cool" tag in order to donate your second blanket.

How Happy Blankie and the One to love, One To Give philosophy came about:
In 2008 David Holdridge at just 7 years of age had the great idea of combining his little sisters two favorite things, stuffed animals and blankets. To create something that would make children around the world happy. He inspired his whole family and soon the Happy Blankie was born.
Shortly after David's Mother Emily had a second great idea. For every blanket sold they would give one away to a child in need. The real special part was that the purchaser of a Happy Blankie gets to choose were the donated blankie will go. Thus, one to love, one to give became the core philosophy of Happy Blankie.

I am a STRONG believer that every child deserves to have something to smile about. Which is why I was so impressed with this little boy David, his family, and company. The fact that once this blanket arrives and puts a smile on your child's face, you can then share with your child the feeling of putting a smile on another child's face...simply priceless

Happy Blankie was nice enough to send us a small blankie to review. I of course choose Tumble The Bear blankie ( my daughters nickname is the bear) Unless you feel it for yourself I can't even begin to describe how soft this blanket truly is. With a silk like material on one side and a beautiful soft "fur" on the other. Now at almost three the  small blanket was not big enough for my daughter.. however they do carry 3 sizes from small to large. We still made use of the blankie by hanging it on her wall. Which may be a great idea for those who order for an infant when the grow out of it.

The only downside I came up with is they are a bit more pricey then your average blanket. Starting at 29$ for the small on up to 99$ for the large. When you think of it though your actually getting two blankets for this price, one that is given for a donation.

These really are unique and SUPER soft blankies. I told my husband that if wanted to know what I wanted for Christmas I would seriously consider one for myself. I can't imagine what it would feel like to wrap your whole self up in it's softness.
