A Glue Dots Summer Bonding Project

I was recently given the opportunity *thanks to Twitter Moms * to participate in the Glue Dots Summer Bonding Project .

What Are Glue Dots®?

Glue Dots Adhesives are a safer, easier, mess-free alternative to typical tapes and glue guns. Glue Dots provide the strength you need in an adhesive without the mess and dry time required of liquid glues. Glue Dots bond instantly to a wide variety of surfaces including: Paper/photos, Metal, Wood, Plastic, Textiles/Fibers, Plastic, Foam, and more! Find Glue Dots at a retailer near you  or Online today!

The kids couldn't wait to get started!  I handed them some construction paper, safety scissors, and other crafty materials and let them go to town. They sat for over an hour making all kinds of crazy creations. The best part was that even my 2 year old could get in on the fun. Unlike glue there was no mess or "accidents" to worry about. If she placed one where it should not be I could peel it up as easy as 1,2,3 with no damage.**Note: Glue Dots are Acid Free and Non-Toxic.

After I let them "play" I decided to see what other uses I could come up with. I bought my living room furniture a little over a year ago, and it was a nightmare. It has ripped three times in the same spot. For the first year they came back and sewed it up for me...but now I am on my own. I should ad I have NO sewing skills. I figured What the heck, these glue dots say they adhere to wood, fabric, etc  let me give it a shot... Well its been over a week and the glue dots are still holding the rip together. I was impressed!
I also used them to repair some "lifts" in my kids handmade fabric photo albums and to hang posters and school work on there walls.

For children and adults a like, I find glue dots a far better choice then messy glue or tape that gives out. Thank you Glue Dots and Twitter Moms for fun family time.
